Problem solving with landmark statement
The project is a simple gesture aimed at solving a long-standing problem of the city that is, at the same time, a unique place to welcome the relocation of the European Medicines Agency. Thanks to its basic geometry, the building – located in a prime area of the city – offers panoramic views on all floors. While its current function ensures that in a lower area the public parking is maintained, on a higher level, a raised main lobby is surrounded by a peripheral public promontory on the city, and at the top, a large transparent volume merges with the sky to create a unique work environment.
