The towers are of unequal height, so the transition between the existing fabric and the new construction is made in steps. Sun-path analysis fixes the position of the two volumes so that each receives direct light without obstructing the other.

Three blocks state the building: a horizontal slab at the base, a vertical slab standing on it, and a second horizontal slab returning at the top to close the composition. That tripartite logic organises the volumetric silhouette of each tower and the reading of the facade at once.
The towers take their name from the pairing, duas being the Portuguese word for two.
Circulation is separated by programme, with dedicated cores for residential, hotel and restaurant access, which frees the perimeter for the occupied floors. The section stacks parking and services below grade, commercial uses at street level, hotel floors, residential floors, and a skybar and restaurant on the roof.
The environmental work is organised under four themes: energy and water management, health and wellbeing, biodiversity, and the choice of materials.
