OODA is currently looking for a Constuction Cost Estimator to join our team in Porto, with the main role being the execution of measurements and budgets.
Role and Responsibilities
— Analysis of the various components of the project and technical specifications, descriptive memories, towards the correct preparation of proposals.
— Perform measurements and develop detailed budgets based on surveys conducted, considering architectural and structural aspects.
— Analyze and interpret technical drawings and documents.
— Estimate costs of materials, labour, and equipment necessary for project execution.
— Collaborate with teams in cost optimization and search for viable technical solutions.
— Identify and communicate any discrepancies between the architectural project and the execution of the work.
— Contact suppliers.
— Site preparation.
Required Skills and Experience
— Academic background in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
— Previous experience of 5 years as a budget estimator in architectural offices or construction sector companies.
— Solid knowledge in reading and interpreting architectural projects.
— Ability to use measurement and budgeting software: AutoCAD (mandatory), Revit (will be appreciated), and Excel.
— Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
— Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
— Planning and organizational skills.
— Orientation towards meeting objectives and deadlines.
— Knowledge of construction sector standards and regulations in Portugal.
— Eligible to work in Portugal.
OODA Architecture is currently looking for a Junior Architect to join our team in Porto.
Role and Responsibilities
— Projects development across all stages, from inception through to completion (Concept
Design, Licensing, Detail Design and Construction).
Required Skills and Experience
— Degree and/or master’s degree in Architecture;
— Proficiency in AutoCAD;
— A good understanding of Revit will be valued;
— Good understanding of Adobe, Rhino 3D and Office;
— Good performance in resolving issues arising from the project’s development;
— Ease of learning and team building;
— High level of diligence, organizational and planning skills in multidisciplinary teams;
— Fluent in Portuguese and English, both verbal and written;
— Creative, interested and proactive;
— Eligible to work in Portugal;
— Preferably eligible for IEFP internship.
